I think I finally understand what they mean by Trickle Down.

Trickle Down, or Trickle Down Economics. A phrase made popular by the 40th US President, actor and comedian Ronald Reagan.
"In a nutshell, trickle-down theory is based on the premise that within an economy, giving tax breaks to the top earners makes them more likely to earn more. Top earners invest that extra money in productive economic activities or spend more of their time at the high-paying trade they do best (whether that be creating inventions or performing heart surgeries). Either way, these activities will be productive, reinvigorate economic growth and, in the end, generate more tax revenue from these earners and the people they've helped."
Ok, it's not inventors or heart surgeons who are getting colossal tax gifts. It's millionaire and billionaire CEOS and the Oil and Gas industry. Ok? So lets just put that bullshit to bed right off the bat.
Secondly? I don't want them spending more time on their job "doing what they do best". What they do best is gamble in the stock market using the money in our 401(k)s that we think is going to let us retire in Paia, or think of new ways to make us more addicted to the most deadly toxins on Earth, and deliver us directly into the hands of wealthy people who are friends with folks who observe their religion by blowing things up. I want them to suddenly get a report that their business is failing and before they can do anything about it have their entire world yanked out from under them like a $12 Target rug.
The flood waters racing into Cajun farm land so oil refineries and the rich folk downtown is a great example of Trickle Down.
"We hold back everything that would otherwise nourish everyone at the same time until something fucks up, then we use you Middle Class morons like a 3 times used yank rag to clean it up by dumping everything on you at once."
Why the barricades haven't gone up and we haven't started overturning limousines in the streets already I have no idea. It boggles the mind how much we'll take. Here we still sit like an undulating flock of penguins braced to leap into the seal infested waters the moment someone tosses in a sardine.
I gotcher "Trickle Down" right here.
